Who We Are?
Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters' Association which was established in 1940 is one of the twelve associations which has been operating under the body of General Secretariat of Aegean Exporters' Association (AEA), is serving its more than 930 member companies with a view of providing international business network and source of information.
Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products Exporters’ Association is one the Associations which is a non-profit business organization of nearly 1.000 companies representing the largest furniture, paper and forestry products exporters in Türkiye. Association has been working with the aim of increasing export volume of furniture, paper and forestry products sectors, satisfying the needs of its members regarding international trade and providing cooperation among its members. It carries on its operations with the aim of increasing the export potential of the industry and paves the way for Turkish producers/exporters, with main objective to foster and attain sustainable global market based on free and fair trade.
Why Türkiye?
Türkiye is able to compete with the rising global market thanks to use of technology in furniture production, which is increasing export potential and the number of exporting enterprises. On the other hand, thanks to Türkiye’s geopolitical location and proximity to the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Black Seas, it can easily reach almost anywhere in the world. In Turkiye, the furniture industry is focused in certain areas where the market and/or forest products are concentrated.
The Turkish furniture industry appears to feature small-scale, mostly workshop-type businesses primarily working with traditional methods. On the other hand, particularly in the last 15-20 years, the number of medium and large enterprises as well as small enterprises, have started to increase. Also, Türkiye is the 8th most furniture exporting country according to CSIL report, aims to be in top 5 soon. Türkiye exports to 200 countries in the world in the furniture sector.
